Brett, I don't know the answer. I'm somewhat biased against htt since this workload isn't alu heavy. Some colleagues at wide developed a BSD based router about 20 years ago that used page flipping, similar to netmap, which I'm struggling now to remember and will keep trying. I hope you tell us what you try and what works.
