I've started to write (back in year 1 and 2) a bootsector bootloader in
ASM. (IIRC I left it in a atate where it displays a menu in the lower
right corner (for kicks - my Olivetti M24 wrote something in the lower
left, so I used the lower right instead) you could select an item from the
menu (by pressing 1, 2 or 3, or the arrow keys or F1, F2 or F3). By select
I mean that by pressing enter or any of the numbers you also executed the
next code (that would have started the booting process, but I never got
that far). Anyways It's in assembler for ASM, so the code is very basic...
The problem is that I am no longer in the posession of that old Olivetti,
but I made some backups (of the HUGE 20 Mb HDD) on floppies, so I'll check
them, and I'm willing to release the code with GPL, as a base for this
project.
