Eric Auer, BlaauwBernd B. wrote some help about creating 2.88M images. Thanks for all your information. Bernd, I have tested your proposition and it works :) I forgot to write about sth. 1. First of all I want to do everything on PC running only FreeDOS. Just let FreeDOS PC be self-efficient. I like turning on my old 486s and feel their power ;). 2. If I had to use other OS, I would prefer to use old Slack 3.5 :) (Eric, there is mkdosfs 0.4 in it - I found it half a hour ago :) ) And in general ONLY to mount (with 'loop') already bootable image to copy required NON-FreeDOS files. 3. If I had to use Windows, progs' licences should be Freeware/GPL etc. NO to Eval/Test and other restricted versions. 4. I don't want to use any DOS emulator. IMHO first of all we should force SYS to sys images as we don't have any similar prog for Linux and we have to run sth like emulhator. As for RAREAD, it uses currently INT working with REAL floppy disks, not XMS disks. And there is also sth like 'MOUNT' for 4DOS (I found info about it in TDSK source package) - maybe we should write sth like old good Linux 'mount -o loop file /mnt' for FreeDOS?
