Well, just personal opinion here. For me WatcomC is the ideal compiler of the moment (for the lack of others, maybe), because: 1) I seem to recall that it produces more compact code (at least in the kernel). 2) The license is not more restrictive 3) It isn't (seemingly?) less powerful than BC3 (meaning the libraries/capabilities of the language) It's a pitty that I am having problems with the IDE, and that I can't see such a comfortable contextual command reference as in BC3, otherwise I would personally use WC for development, then see if it compiles without problems under BC3.1 (just for the FreeDOS spec).
