Sorry, I can't help you with this, you'll have to Google them.  I know
the low-speed dialup-problem, I have it too.
I downloaded the EpiInfo disks while ago, you have to go for a version 6
installation. About 20MByte if I remember correctly
CDC dropped support for it and switched over to a scary VisualBasic
implementation, called Epi2000 :-(

Micro ISIS has been distributed only via a special re-distribution
system, where you had to get or sometimes buy an access key to a "local"
or regional re-distributor.  Now you can just download it, but it is
very well hidden in UNESCO's servers.

Look also for BIREME, a Brazil documentation center, which has done
lot's of development for ISIS and probably have the installers for DOS
too.
