it was incompatible to FDXMS 0.8 for a KNOWN reason, which was removed 
with FDXMS 0.9
it tried it once, and EMM86 was NOT compatible with FDXMS 0.9 for
UNKNOWN reason.

the problem is, that EMM386 will terminate you, if you are using illegal

just wondering - what can FDXMS do more than HIMEM?
EMM386 will certainly not run on a 286, and it will definitively handle
only
64 MB, and crash with fdxXms, sooner or later.
OTOH, HIMEM uses 400 bytes less of your precious low memory.
