Timestamp problems resolved

Yes, it seems Freedos doesn't care much for the Access and Creation 
Times - which I found to be invalid with values of (07) for the year(the 
worse error) on some files and 00 for  month and year on most files, 
with Norton's diskedit utility.  It just confuses things.  So it appears 
one can use Freedos and ignore these errors.  After editing the time 
entries and getting all the time info consistent in the filesystem, 
Scandisk and Defrag still did not work.  Fixing the time entries didn't 
fix anything else.  However, something that I cannot determine changes 
my system clock as a boot from one os(DOS) to the other(Linux).  This 
was the cause of other file problems, sending some files "into the 
future".  I believe it has something to do with one of these utilities 
but I'm not sure what.
