Where to request packages for bddebian machines (if appropriate at all).

Hello,
First, thank you for the account on Flubber. I'm learning to love the
Hurd. However, I notice some seemingly essential/classic packages are
missing, specifically fortune and ftp. Is there a way or place to
request programs, or is that not allowed? Entirely understood if it
isn't.
