One possible issue is a probing conflict with another driver (8139cp). I suggest you start the netdde translator as an active translator (remove the passive translator at /dev/netdde, restart your system, start it as an active translator using settrans -a /dev/netdde /hurd/netdde) and try to make sense out of the output. This board may also be supported by GNU Mach, so if it turns out to be too painful to get netdde working, you might simply try to rebuild your kernel with the appropriate driver. Netdde simply bails out if the device was already found by the kernel so don't be afraid to just switch kernels. -- Richard Braun
