About runsystem.gnu

Hello all.

Today, making an apt upgrade, some package configuration droped on the
terminal that the user can type 'update-alternatives --config
runsystem' in order to set the configuration. I typed it and the output
is:

Existen 2 opciones para la alternativa runsystem (que provee /etc/hurd/runs=
ystem).

  Selecci=C3=B3n   Ruta                      Prioridad  Estado
------------------------------------------------------------
* 0            /etc/hurd/runsystem.sysv   10        modo autom=C3=A1tico

Pulse <Intro> para mantener el valor por omisi=C3=B3n [*] o pulse un n=C3=
=BAmero
de selecci=C3=B3n:

I'm familiar with runsystem.sysv, Debian GNU/Hurd uses it by default,
but i wanna ask about runsystem.gnu: How it works?, is a system
"recommended" by the Hurd's gurus?, It's related with systemd or
upstart?.
