What exactly did you do, and what was the error message?

It seems you don't have an account of flubber?  Did you follow ``Working
on a Checkout of the Git Repository'' of
<http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/contributing/web_pages.html>, where it
says: ``you need a shell account on flubber'' -- please send the data as
requested on <http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/public_hurd_boxen.html>.
