Alan Messias, I must say I really like your concepts, in particular the 
third one!

* it has the beastie look-and-feel we're all accustomed to
* the NetBSD colors are accurately represented
* it does not look overly child-like

I also like the second-one however it looks to me a bit like a 
tombstone, and I think we can all do without more "*BSD is dead" jokes :D
