NetBSD host.domain 11.0 NetBSD 11.0 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Aug  3 21:37:15 MDT 2026  [email protected]:/usr/src/netbsd-11.0/amd64/obj/usr/src/netbsd-11.0/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
On an upgrade from NetBSD-10.1 (and possibly NetBSD-11.0_BETA), blocklistd generates the following error (repeatedly):

blocklistd[1084]: Key size mismatch 296 != 288

This can be stopped by stopping blocklistd, removing /var/db/blocklistd.db, and restarting blocklistd.

Note that although I compiled the system myself (see uname above), there is nothing different that relates to blocklistd; thus, this should also be the case for upgrading stock systems.
>How-To-Repeat:
(i) Install an older version of NetBSD with blocklistd running, and (ii) upgrade (i.e., not reinstall) to 11.0 and start blocklistd again.
