The combined netbsd-11 fix works completely for me.

 Test system:
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.4
   USB-only boot, no SD card
   Samsung USB flash drive 04e8:6300

 Kernel:
   NetBSD 11.0_STABLE (GENERIC64) #0
   Wed Aug 19 11:51:58 UTC 2026

 Results:
   - uhub1 and uhub2 attach
   - umass0 and sd0 attach
   - sd0a mounts as root
   - normal filesystem writes succeed
   - the system reaches multiuser
   - automatic MBR/disklabel/FFS expansion succeeds
   - the system reboots and comes back normally
   - no BBB reset, timeout, or disk-write errors occur

 After expansion:

   /dev/sd0a 61551416 1601408 56872440 3% /

This fixes the USB-only boot problem for my RPi 3B+.
The PR can be closed from my perspective.
