Could certainly be. I have seen the seeming effects of missing cache
pushes (like those mispainted menus) I think on the same test machine
but when using the integrated Intel graphics. Maybe some hardware is
more forgiving for this than other (i.e. some chipsets maybe push caches
a bit "harder"?)
