I tried /bin/sh, /bin/ksh, /bin/csh and they all behave the same.

# ldd /usr/bin/tee
/usr/bin/tee:
         -lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
# /usr/bin/tee
Cannot open "/usr/lib/libkver.so"

Most of the /usr/bin binaries exhibit this, but not all:
