mac os x compat?

Hi all,

It just occurred to me:  are there any efforts (or is it feasable) to
develop Mac OS X compatibility?  Given the Darwin foundation, it should
be possible, no?  The benefit of taking advantage of various commercial
applications available for Mac OS X (but not for Darwin or *nix in
general) should be obvious.

Or is this a stupid question, and if so, why?
