imho, this is one important part that would have a nice effect on the rest of
the userland as well.
Currently, there are several different tools for disk subsystems (cgd, ccd,
raid, lvm) and partitioning (mbr, disklabel, gpt). If you had a single tool
for each of these tasks, providing a uniform interface to each of them, this
would not only make sysinst much easier (you would just have a single
function used on every subsystem), but also the handling by a user. Either
from the shell, from a curses interface, or even X (sysinst's future?) or
html.
