CGD setup in the NetBSD 7.1.2 installer

I set a cgd system partition in the installer. Unfortunately it seems 
the installer didn't set the paramsfile in /etc/cgd/. Was there some 
special location that I needed to check before exiting the installer? 
Having booted into the system now can I still access the cgd partition 
without the paramsfile (ie, no settings nor salt)?
