Interest in GSOC Topic: Root Device and File System Selection

Dear Christoph Badura,
My name is Lingjia, and I am interested in participating in GSOC.
I noticed the "Test root device and root file system selection" topic in the NetBSD idea list and would like to contribute. I wanted to check if this topic is still available and if you could provide some suggestions to help me understand the code better and identify where might be a good place to start.
Currently, I have implemented a basic operating system and have studied some relevant knowledge and code regarding root file systems and VFS. I believe this background will enable me to contribute effectively to writing unit tests for the ATF framework.
