	Hello Robert.  I mis-spoke about the pty setup.  I'm using the traditional /dev/ttypx
configuration, not the ptyfs filesystem on this particular instance.  There are other instances
where I'm running ptyfs, but, in truth, I have a mix and match of configurations in this regard
across the fleet of machines and I don't think that is related to what is going on except for
the presence of the /dev/ptm device, which 	I think is needed in either case.  So, in short, I
think I'm running a standard configuration.
