Data toggle is also in the mix here, and I have a patch from jak to address that, but it *still* did not address the issue I was having.  I had planned to run some tests this weekend to get some additional information, but had to deal with a small family emergency that necessitated 2 cross-country flights over the course of 24 hours; lots of idle time, but no devices handy, sigh.

I should have some time to poke around at it again in the evenings this week.
