hello. If I'm working on a machine with a serial console, which I do often, I am often dumping the output of that serial console into a file for post-operational analysis. I'd much prefer not to have to deal with the extra ASCII characters generated by ASCII color escape sequences or the characters needed to cause a vt100 to perform overstrike or bold. So, I'll repeat my request that if it's a feature we want as a community, I'd like it to default to off. Perhaps, to make it easier for folks to switch it on, we could add a boot option to enable it. -thanks -Brian
