That's why the privacy extension uses random address suffix for outgoing 
traffic by default. That has nothing to do with DHCPv6. The only reasons 
for the latter are:
(1) Your client doesn't support RA-DNS.
(2) You want to request a prefix.
(3) You need any of the additional fields most people nowadays don't 
care about. E.g. most computers will just use the NTP pool out of the box.
