Dear tech-net Team,

My name is Shreyas Jadhav, and I am very interested in contributing to the
"Making a network driver MPSAFE" project for Google Summer of Code 2026.

I am currently learning operating systems and excited about the opportunity
to improve NetBSD’s networking by adapting network drivers to run without a
single lock held. I have a system with an Intel Celeron processor and plan
to use QEMU for development and testing, especially with drivers supported
in virtual machines such as Realtek RTL8139 and AMD PCnet.

I would appreciate any guidance you can provide for getting started,
including recommended resources, specific drivers you suggest I focus on,
or how best to approach the project as a newcomer.

I’d also like to thank Leo T. for helping me find this project and
providing useful documentation.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hopefully
contributing to this important project.

Best regards,
Shreyas Jadhav.
