Did anything change between the scan run and the build?  There are a 
couple of reasons this might happen:

  - TOOLS_PLATFORM.mktool was set during the scan but not the build.

  - There was no distinfo file when you scanned.

Otherwise there's no reason why digest would be missing from ALL_DEPENDS 
during the pbulk-index scan.
