I didn't compare with non-dirhash performance with the same test setup, however, it appeared to be about the same as non-dirhash with a smaller number of files. That is, with enough files dirhash didn't seem to make a difference. I'm probably going to commit what I have this evening so it can be reviewed and tested by others. Regards, Steve
