1.8.0 - 2026-08-25
Added

    Six more bundled themes, chosen light-first. The first six ports were all dark, so this batch is five light and one dark: solarized-light, gruvbox-light, catppuccin-latte, rose-pine-dawn, everforest-light, and kanagawa (Wave). Each is a port in the established sense — hex values from the palette's own specification, cited in the file, with the mapping mirroring its dark sibling where one exists and body text left on the terminal's own foreground. Light themes start their graph ramps light, so an idle chart recedes into a pale background.

    NetBSD appears in the platform badge and the install table, pointing at pkgsrc's sysutils/mirador — the community package that arrived with 1.6.1's fix.

Added

    The markets panel colours a row by the size of the day's move. The change, percentage and sparkline now take their colour from the theme's gain_gradient / loss_gradient ramps, saturating at a 2% move — a drifting tenth of a percent sits at the ramp's dark desaturated foot instead of shouting the same green or red as a crash. Flat and stale rows stay muted, exactly as before. This is what those two theme keys were reserved for; themes that already set them light up unchanged.

Changed

    The shipped config now documents external panels, so --print-config and a first run's config.toml finally show [[plugins]], alongside newly documented clamps and floors and two reserved theme gradient keys. A documentation-review pass also corrected the protocol specification (undocumented bounds an SDK author could trip on, two wrong claims about cursor and mouse handling), the README (the config file's real name, the three persistence destinations, NetBSD via pkgsrc's sysutils/mirador in the install section) and CONTRIBUTING (the widget checklist's missing layout step, the shared fetch helper).
    ureq's declared floor is 3.4.0, the version every release since 1.5.1 has actually shipped; the 1.5.1 entry announced the bump but the manifest minimum was never raised.
