My inexperienced enthusiasm (aka pkgsrc vs wip)

Good day folks, Every now and then as we migrate server instances to NetBSD, we come across packages we're using which aren't in pkgsrc. On bad days I'll just do a hasty make, but on those sunny days with an extra few minutes, I'll lovingly craft a pkgsrc style Makefile and it's other associated goodness; ultimately posting it to gnats in the hope of it making it's way into the tree. It may be that my inexperienced enthusiasm is producing pants packages or that my gnats tickets include errors, which I'm quite willing accept. But the burning question is really "should I be posting these to wip instead?". Those which I've posted so far are 41036, 41631 and 41692. There's nothing revolutionary in there, nor anything all that special; but they are things we use often on our hosting boxen. Feedback and suggestions would be most appreciated. ;-) Mike. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge This is your chance to win up to $100,000 in prizes!
