IMO, it is better to invest time into modularization, this is what I'm working on nowadays. If the problem bothers you very much, you can: a) get WIP commit rights and apply patch yourself (just try not to break anything else), this is (in my opinion again) preferrable way, if you're going to stay with us; b) send your patch to me or other WIP committer; c) keep it in LOCALPATCHES.
