I've been using them on various hardware (Radeon X1300 Mobility, Radeon
HD4870, Intel Atom) without a problem all this time, along with modular-
xorg-server from pkgsrc (1.6.5).

I am not aware of any issues, except that I believe I still need this
patch in src/sys/external/bsd/drm/dist/bsd-core/drm_drv.c for my
ThinkPad T60:
