-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, While setting up various NetBSD workstations I realized that Mesa status is a bit... confusing. Regarding NetBSD, we have: . Mesa 7.4.4 in NetBSD 5.x base . Mesa 7.8.2 in NetBSD 6.x base . Mesa 7.4.4 in pkgsrc/graphics/Mesa . Mesa 7.8.2 in pkgsrc/wip For pkgsrc's Mesa we have: graphics/Mesa graphics/MesaLib (have both dri modules + libGL) graphics/MesaDemos graphics/glx-utils graphics/glu graphics/glut For wip's Mesa we have: wip/Mesa wip/MesaLib (metapackage for dri, glw, gl) wip/glu wip/glut wip/dri (dri modules) wip/glw wip/gl (libGL) I have some questions before putting my hands on those: not being really familiar with the whole Mesa/dri/drm/Xorg infrastructure, is there a strong reason other than lack of manpower why the most "recent" version we provide is 7.8.2? wip/Mesa is split up in many sub-packages, is this something we want? Is anybody still working on this? Last update was 2 years ago. Any insight about this whole 3D world would be very much appreciated.
