Well, it's noisy, since it also reports the differences between the
old patchset and the new one.

Perhaps the cleanup step should be moved somewhere else, but I'm not
sure where. I don't like it happening automatically because then you
have no chance to generate patches with correct offsets any longer.
(line number changes are discarded, since they usually don't matter).
