Subject: new fork package for R

For all you R programmers out there, there is a new
fork package (not yet on the main r-project site),

http://metrg.net/pub/pkgsrc/math/R-fork/

the key advantage of this version is, it actually
forks (!), without leaving zombie processes, ie
file descriptors are properly closed.

It follows the model of other R packages, I don't
really understand why PLIST is empty, but they all
are.

We are using this in production with no problems. I
cannot remember if there is a freeze in 2007Q1 or if
the freeze is eminent, but this is pretty simple and
if it could fast track into that tag, that would be
great.

Thanks,
// George
