aKode is a simple audio decoding framework which is used mainly by KDE3
(it hasn't any KDE or Qt dependencies). The KDE3 audio server arts has
the aKode plugin (it was part of kdemultimedia up to KDE3.4) and some
KDE3 apps (JuK) can use aKode directly.

I know that we should all move to the shiny new KDE4, but I think that
I'll continue to use it for awhile and I'm not the only one ;).
