   I ran into problems with qt4, as well, though I think it was compiler
related. I was building on an old SuSE 9.3 machine with gcc 3.3.3, and
there were some missing c++ symbols. Sorry, I didn't keep the output.
The platform was old enough that it seemed safe to assume it wasn't
supported.
