It sounds interesting to me. I'll look into it.

First, there are some minor warnings of pkglint -Wall.
Second, in
SUBST_SED.fix-paths=-e 's,/share/man,/man,g'
line I'd propose to change /man with /${PKGMANDIR}.
This is for those who configure pkgsrc to install software to /usr.
