Do you need my draft VTK package? Thanks for the review. My understanding is that the version of VTK bundled with ParaView includes many modifications and cannot be replaced by the version that is released seperately; please see <http://www.paraview.org/pipermail/paraview/2008-June/008198.html>. What does lproj do? I just noticed that it doesn't run on my machine, complaining about not finding lib/paraview-3.8/libvtkproj4.so.pv3.8 (which is actually installed), so I seem to have missed something in the Makefile. But otherwise, perhaps a renaming of ParaView's lproj to something like paraview-lproj would work.
