Set PKG_DEVELOPER=yes in /etc/mk.conf. Update the version number in the Makefile, remove PKGREVISION (if any), "make mdi". Try getting it to build; if you need to edit files, use pkgvi/mkpatches/patchdiff. Check that the PLIST is ok by building a package. Commit with a short list of changes in the commit message.
