This may be controversial, but if the package exists in wip with a
PKGREVISION value, I'd leave it when importing (or increment it).  The
actual value doesn't matter, but this will allow a smooth transition for
those who have things installed from wip.  Generally pkgsrc doesn't
cater to wip, but this seems easy and harmless.

You're entirely welcome to keep yourself as maintainer.  Generally we
try to find maintainers far far more often than we have two people who
want to be maintainers fighting over maintainership :-)
