'Ports' on NetBSD are different hardware platforms, of which NetBSD
supports on the order of fifty.

What you were referring to is called, in NetBSD parlance, the package
system. Try posting on tech-pkg, you'll get a more-attuned audience. And I
think they  might well be interested in what you have done.
