question on powerpc ports

Hi,

I have a question about the how entry and exit from
kernel is handled.

I am working on powerpc and using netbsd 1.4.I ported
the pmap module from netbsd 1.6 to netbsd 1.4 but
having some problems with the switching of the
segments registers.

On entry to the kernel, when should we change segment
registers? I guess that if the msr[PR] is 1, we should
not restore the kernel segment registers, but I am
confused a bit.
