So, the netfinity 7000 appears to be a quad pentium pro.  While I
haven't heard specifically about IBM systems, we boot on
several other 4xPPro machines.

Some of my smp development is done on a compaq 4x200mhz pentium pro.

Bottom line: while I haven't heard of results on this specific model,
the existing MP branch is known to work on similar machines and has a
good chance of working as-is; if it doesn't, i'd like to hear bug
reports.
