Actually, I think that there are dependencies that do not show up on a
two-CPU system but on four-CPU machines. I get out-of-sync build errors
sometimes when compiled on a 4-CPU sparc, but never on a 2-cpu dito
when i use -j4.  I haven't looked at it close enough yet to be sure that
it isn't something else that fails though.
