I removed MPACPI from the kernel following a suggestion, which removed the
error messages from the dmesg, but alas didn't result in the application
processors starting.  To-night I'm going to reboot and see if there is
anything in the setup that might affect things-- I do know that I can set it
to version 1.1 of the MP specification.
