odd. I have no GENERIC.MPACPI in my conf folder, the sources and 
configuration files were directly dumped from the i386 Sources ISO and 
it really doesn't seem to be here (and that's why i had to modify 
GENERIC.MP).
May you perhaps give me the relevant parts of this file so I can rebuild 
the kernel with?
