I'm hoping it's not something like that. I don't think it is, because it =
would be a bit of an unfortunate coincidence that the motherboard started=
 to fail at the same time as I switch it from Linux to NetBSD.

Currently running GENERIC.MPDEBUG, hasn't locked up yet.
