Hello all, I'm considering buying a "new" used ThinkPad X-series laptop to run NetBSD and would appreciate hearing about real-world experiences from others. My current daily driver is a ThinkPad X230, which has served me very well for many years. However, it's starting to show its age, and I'd like something with better battery life, a higher-quality display, and more modern hardware while still keeping the compact form factor that I like about the X-series. At the moment I have a ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 Yoga here that I'm setting up for someone else with Ubuntu. Unfortunately, neither the Wi-Fi nor the graphics seem to work properly under NetBSD, which makes me a bit hesitant about newer models. I'm therefore looking at some slightly older machines, such as: ThinkPad X280 ThinkPad X390 ThinkPad X13 Gen 1 Does anyone have experience running NetBSD on any of these models? How well do things like graphics, Wi-Fi, suspend/resume, audio, battery management, and external displays work? I'd be grateful for any recommendations, success stories, or warnings before I start hunting for a machine. Thanks in advance.
