I should have known this, having written lots of /boot.cfg entries for Xen dom0 systems, but it's been a while since I had my head in any of the bootloader stuff. Sadly the only example I saw, in the NetBSD Guide (30.4.4. Changing the console resolution in an x86 VM), was incomplete, showing only the raw bootloader command, and not also a complete menu entry for /boot.cfg in a way that would have jogged my memory. -- Greg A.
