Remote mount CDROM?

Perhaps my memory plays tricks on me, but I seem to
recall having once, a long time ago, remotely mounted
a CDROM drive. That is to say, I used the CDROM on one
NetBSD PC from another NetBSD PC.

Is that possible? Or am I mis-remembering the event?

Perhaps it was only that I FTP'd the files, but it is
bugging me since I have a use for such a step at the
present.
